Our goal in building out ClickUp for Nicholette was to organize her multiple businesses to allow for growth and expansion. We focused on consolidating her businesses into one Workspace where she and her team could function with ease.

Supported Business Growth With ClickUp

Prior to working with us, Nicholette was running her business out of Asana. Although Asana was a great tool for her business at first, it got to a point where it was causing overwhelm for her and her team.

Nicholette says that she “felt like Asana was getting to the point where it didn’t meet our needs. And I could sense that my business was going to be growing. I felt like we were spending a lot of time looking for information, losing time, and things had lots of duplicate places. And it just wasn’t as streamlined as I wanted it to be. And I felt like it became messy with the two businesses.”

With this in mind, we focused on building out ClickUp to support Nicholette’s multi-business growth. To do this, we created a space for each business to exist individually while also existing within one Workspace.

One huge piece was creating a system for Nicholette’s editorial calendars. For this, we created a way for each of her businesses’ editorial calendars to live separately with the option to view them both if needed.

With ClickUp, we were able to strategically systemize Nicholette’s businesses. ClickUp’s additional level of hierarchy as compared to Asana helped us in streamlining Nicholette’s systems with ease. In addition, ClickUp’s robust features for grouping and filtering data allowed us endless options for streamlining Nicholette’s businesses.

 

Seamless Team Management

Before working with us, Nicholette found it hard to keep a pulse on her team through Asana. Her team also found that information in Asana was getting misplaced or duplicated. Because of this, information would easily fall through the cracks and time was wasted on trying to locate information.

With ClickUp, we were able to set up multiple views for projects so team members can view information in a way that makes sense for them. Because of ClickUp’s robust features, it makes it easy to organize data and information and manipulate information based on team members’ learning styles.

With everything consolidated into ClickUp, Nicholette has been able to easily “see the overview of the team and who’s working on what” to keep her team running smoothly. She is also able to keep a pulse on her team members’ workload to see who might need support or who has the availability to jump in on a project.

 

The Results

Even through big shifts in her business, Nicholette and her team have been able to evolve alongside their ClickUp. After working with Nicholette, her business made a huge pivot and she was able to adapt her ClickUp with ease.

Nicholette says that with her business changes, “everything is so easy to replicate” and adjust to changes because it is already mapped out for them.
Although switching to ClickUp seemed overwhelming at first to Nicholette and her team, it has proved to be a success in helping their businesses grow. As Nicholette says “it is overwhelming switching to a whole new system. But we were overwhelmed anyway . . . You’re spending time anyway. So you might as well spend the time to learn something that’s actually going to improve the quality of your business and your team’s productivity in the long run.”

With ClickUp, Nicholette and her team have been able to find things with ease and save so much time every day. As a business owner, you don’t “want to spend your valuable time inside of your project management system, looking for things, searching for things, duplicating things . . . And so with a little bit of structure, you can just save yourself a lot of time.”

Overall, Nicholette’s ClickUp has allowed her to grow her businesses and has supported her through pivots and changes along the way. ClickUp has allowed her and her team to grow without the overwhelm and easily adapt their systems to their changing needs.
