Our goal in building out ClickUp for Susie was to organize her business to allow for growth and expansion. We focused on consolidating her client management system to allow for limitless and scalable business growth.

Creating A Seamless Client Management System
Prior to working with us, Susie’s client management system consisted of a chaotic Excel spreadsheet. She was spending most of her day communicating with and managing clients. This made it difficult for her to focus on other areas of her business.
Susie says that she “couldn’t bring anyone on, I couldn’t let anybody help me because I was essentially managing a list of clients all on my own through an Excel file. So at any given time, I could be managing anywhere from 40 to 120 clients all at different phases, but it was like a pretty robust to-do list. And so I really just needed help streamlining it. I needed help organizing it and I really, I needed to do that for my own sanity and I needed to do it and able to be able to bring team members on to offer supporting the business.”
With this in mind, we focused on building out ClickUp to support Susie’s client and lead management system. To do this, we took her chaotic Excel spreadsheet and built it out into robust, manageable ClickUp lists. We did this to allow for ease when managing clients at each phase in her process.
With ClickUp, we were able to strategically systemize Susie’s client and lead management. ClickUp’s grouping and filtering features allowed us to set up multiple views for her system. This allows Susie to quickly see client and lead data at a glance. Through this, Susie can also customize communications and services to each client all while saving time and energy.
Limitless And Scaleable Business Growth
Prior to working with us, Susie would have “all these ideas floating out there in space. But there was no way for me to actually organize this. And there was no way for me to take action because, at the end of the day, I was working in such a chaotic way and wasn’t able to hand anything off.”
Susie was spending so much time focusing on her clients that she was never able to step into any creativity in her business. She was acting as the bottleneck in her business and was unable to grow any further due to messy systems.
With ClickUp, we were able to build out important pieces of Susie’s operations. We built out a robust list for Susie to track vendors so she could easily track and retrieve their contact information and details.
We also built out a home for password management and SOP management to allow Susie to keep everything organized as she grows. With everything consolidated into ClickUp, Susie has been able to cut down the hours she spends on clients and focus that time on other pieces of the business.
After working with us, Susie has been able to grow to a team of 4! She says that “it’s the first time and around 10 years of doing this, that I’ve actually been able to invite someone in to help me support the clients.”
Susie says that “ClickUp has completely transformed the way we work”. ClickUp has allowed Susie to grow her team, focus more time on the creative process in her business, and continue to build her systems to support her growth.
Through building out her client management system, she is now able to quickly see which clients are in which phase of the process. It has also allowed her a clean, easy, and quick way to digest lead and client data.
This process alone has saved her numerous hours each day and has allowed her to delegate pieces of the process to team members.
Although switching to ClickUp seemed like a huge task at first to Susie, “it has proved to be a success in helping not only my business and the way it functions, but the way I live my life.” Through working in ClickUp every day, she has become more and more comfortable with the platform and “can’t remember what it’s like to not work in ClickUp.” ClickUp has proved invaluable to Susie and her growing team and business!
Overall, Susie says that “ClickUp has allowed me to let other people in my business. And it lets them track what we’re doing really efficiently too. And it’s just really opening up so many new opportunities for us to explore and get excited about as a business. So it’s totally transformed how we’ll be able to scale.”
