What Is ActiveCampaign?

ActiveCampaign defines themselves as a Customer Experience Automation Platform. In other words, it has the ability to combine email marketing, sales, and automation all in one.

We personally use ActiveCampaign on Team EE for email marketing, marketing automation, and tracking our email marketing performance and metrics.


Who Is ActiveCampaign Best For And What Plans Do They Offer?

In our ActiveCampaign review, we want to note that it is great for pretty much any online-based business! Whether you have an online-based business, a brick-and-mortar, a large team, or are a solopreneur, there is a plan for you!

ActiveCampaign’s pricing is a little tricky. Although they have your typical plan structure, they also adjust the price for you based on the number of list subscribers you want to allow for. 

However, this is an awesome feature because it truly allows you to customize your payment plan based on where you are in your biz!

At the time of this recording, ActiveCampaign offers 4 plans.

1. Lite Plan.

This plan is great for businesses that are just getting started in marketing automation and email marketing. In addition, it’s also great for businesses that don’t need a lot of complexities around their email marketing! 

2. Plus Plan.

This plan is great for businesses that are expanding their marketing automation and integrations. This plan includes everything the Lite Plan does plus features like lead & contact scoring and text messaging options.

3. Professional Plan.

This plan is great for larger businesses that want to really refine and optimize their marketing. This plan adds on features like 50 user accounts, predictive sending, and predictive content.

4. Enterprise Plan.

This plan is great for large corporations that also have a large marketing and sales budget. This plan adds on features like a custom mail server domain and custom reporting.

This is the part we are most excited to share with you in our ActiveCampaign review: the features!

Our fav ActiveCampaign features include:

  • Automations: There are so many options you have when building out workflows in ActiveCampaign. You can build something super simple or something complex!
  • Forms: You can create opt-in forms with ActiveCampaign and easily embed them on your website! For example, you can use these to create things like freebie opt-in forms, workshop opt-in forms, etc.
  • Integrations: ActiveCampaign integrates with over 800 apps like Facebook, WordPress, Google Analytics, Zapier, and Slack!
  • Automation Goals: You can set goals in your automations to pinpoint trouble areas and see how your audience is engaging with your content. For example, you can add a goal for your funnel where it tracks a goal as completed by a person clicking on a specific link!
  • Data + Reports: ActiveCampaign makes it easy to make data-driven decisions in your biz. You can get data and reports for your contacts, your email campaigns, your automations, you name it.

We love how ActiveCampaign is a tool that truly grows with your business. With the pricing customization based on your subscriber count, endless features, and customizable capabilities, ActiveCampagin has plenty of room to grow your biz.

2. ActiveCampaign has an incredible support team and also incredible help docs.

Although the interface might seem overwhelming at first and take some time to get used to, ActiveCampaign has so many options for support so you never feel in the dark. 

In addition, they even have a Getting Started Guide on your Dashboard when you log in that walks you through demos of how to use the platform.

3. ActiveCampaign has incredible automation capabilities.

There are endless options when it comes to building automations in ActiveCampaign. And their workflow builder makes it super easy to visually see your automation as you build it.

They even have templated automations you can start with if you are new to building out workflows for your email marketing. And these templates have editing capabilities for you to add and delete things where needed!

Without a doubt, ActiveCampaign is our favorite email marketing and marketing automation tool on Team EE. It is truly a game-changer for your biz no matter where you are in your marketing journey.
